Mountain biking trails under the mountains of Slovenia are available to Boardnlodge guests eith the help of our guide. The tunnels are mining passages left by the Romans under the Peca mountains. These Bovec bike trails run for 5km through solid rock tunnels. Guests start at the hotel Club Krnes in Èrna na Koroškem, where the guide and mountain bike equipment will be waiting for you. The exit from the mountain bike mine is in another valley, from where you will descend along a 2km road to The Mining Museum at Glanènik, where the hired mountain bike gear should be returned and washed. Check out the mining collections in the museum, and then bike back to Èrna, along the Meža valley. In case of bad weather transfer could be arranged.

The tunnels are 500m under the ground and the constant temperature is about 10C. Special equipment is demanded because of the complete darkness in the underground and due to miners safety law. It is obligatory to wear a bike helmet with a headlamp, which you can hire when paying the entrance fee. Long trousers, warm clothes with long sleeves, an anorak and pair of mountain bike gloves should be worn.
