Often bathed in sunshine, La Flegere is a great spot for gazing at the amazing spectacle of Les Grands Montets, and the Lavancher bowl across the valley. The Flegere is not far from the Flegere Chalet Lodge.

For intermediate and advanced riders take advantage of the new 'Darth Vadar' lift (what's it going to look like), in conjuntion with the 'La Floria' drag lift accesses three huge bowls and many reds and blues and a vast backcountry area including the large Lachenal bowl. There are both wide 'motorways' and winding trails with the opportunity for the adventurous to start trying out their off-piste skill within easy and safe reach of the piste. Flegere is famous for its jumping; there is a lot of it, and many pro riders are seen flying of the bumps, rollers, and self-made kickers. Our Valley Guides can help anyone wanting to hone their freestyle technique. One year 21 consecutive hits were counted coming down the front face.

If you need a breather there are plenty of good places to stop for a picnic and there is new outdoor snack bar area at the mid station with tunes and great views. The backside is an array of gullies and rollers, with limitless natural hits. The Lachenal and the Crochues bowls are good for the intermediate off-piste snowboarder, being wide and not too steep. As at le Tour, La Flegere is a favourite of the BoardnLodge staff, providing perfect terrain to improve your off-piste riding or build jumps and get some photos with the Mer de Glace as your backdrop. Many cliff drops are found in between the bowls and on powder days nothing beats it.
